Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment for both children and adults.  We offer personalized treatment plans with advanced technology designed for your entire family. Utilizing the latest technologies allows all patients to receive the highest quality of dental care.

Dr. Teitler has had substantial experience treating adults and children; their extensive experience allows us to provide you with a more enjoyable and satisfying dental experience. We also recognize that dental visits are often an unfamiliar experience for children. We provide a comfortable and calm atmosphere, a key element in keeping children excited to see our dental care team.

You and your family deserve accurate and attentive dental care. Our family dentistry services include the following:

Cleanings & Exams

Preventive care begins with a comprehensive cleaning and exam. It is crucial that adults and children receive regular exams and professional cleanings to help avoid dental diseases and conditions. Our doctors will perform your exam, and you will receive a thorough cleaning by our highly trained and experienced dental hygienists. As we perform your exam and teeth cleaning, we will be attentive to your personal comfort. Once the exam and cleaning are completed, the doctor will determine a personalized dental care plan designed to help you maintain or improve your oral health.

X-Rays

X-rays, with your permission, may be included with your routine check-up visit. The need for dental X-Rays is based on your personalized dental care plan developed and determined by the doctor. X-Rays are safe and suitable for adults and children. A full mouth set of dental X-ray serves as a great diagnostic tool for finding dental complications. X-rays serve as a preventive tool as well.  When dental conditions are found at an early stage, it allows for treatment to be more affordable and less invasive. Our doctor and dental team use the information from your X-ray to detect dental abnormalities that can be hidden from the naked eye. Problems such as tooth decay and gum disease can all be found with X-ray technology.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Fillings are used after decay is removed. Also, fillings are used when your tooth structure needs to be rebuilt. Maintaining healthy oral hygiene habits can greatly reduce the need for a filling.

During a filling procedure, our dentists will use a white tooth colored ceramic based material to fill cavities in your mouth. If a cavity is left untreated, the progression of tooth decay can occur within your tooth. Because tooth decay is an infection, deep tooth decay occurs, a root canal or tooth extraction may be required to retain optimal oral health. While most folks think that you’ll know if you have a cavity because it hurts, that’s not so true. Most cavities do not hurt; the only way to find them is with a thorough exam and X-Rays.

Sealants

A sealant is a tough plastic coating painted on your tooth to protect the chewing surface from future tooth decay. Sealants provide your teeth with deep protection against bacteria and food. The grooves in your natural tooth will be sealed to protect the enamel from plaque and plaque acids. Your teeth benefit from sealants when normal brushing and flossing cannot reach all surface areas of a tooth.

Our dentist or hygienists will gently paint the sealant on your tooth, it will then bond and harden to your tooth. Usually this process will take between 5 and 10 minutes per tooth. We will use a tooth-colored and it will appear to be invisible to the naked eye.

The sealants we use at Teitler Family Dental Care are highly durable and are made to last for many years. Our team uses the latest technology and finest materials to provide sealant procedures that are quick, comfortable and effective to all patients of any age. Parents will be comforted to know that all of our materials are BPA-free. While sealants are very effective in preventing cavities, proper oral hygiene, healthy eating habits, and regular dental visits are necessary to assist you in achieving optimal oral health.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is extremely effective in preventing tooth decay in adults and children. Fluoride is a mineral that is naturally present in food and water. Although you receive nourishments from fluoride in food and water, it is not a significant amount to help prevent tooth decay. When we treat your smile with fluoride, deep fissures and pits will be protected on your teeth’s chewing surfaces.  Fluoride is able to re-mineralize small imperfections in your tooth enamel by magnetizing calcium to your teeth.

The solitary use of fluoride will not prevent tooth decay. It is imperative to develop good oral hygiene habits such as brushing and floss twice a day and eating balanced meals containing little to no sugar. After we treat your smile with fluoride, please avoid eating or drinking for thirty minutes after your treatment.
